Things to do in Singapore

1. Enjoy the Activities in Sentosa Island

Nearest Station: HarbourFront station / Sentosa Station

Claiming the first spot on our travel guide to Singapore is Sentosa Island. It’s the center of tourist activities and entertainment in the country. It has the famous Universal Studios, SEA Aquarium, a branch of Madame Tussauds, Royal Albatross, Wave House, and many more. There are also Resort Hotels and Gorgeous Beaches. One day is not enough here.

2. Visit the attractions along the Marina Bay

Nearest Station: Bayfront Station

Just like Sentosa, Marina Bay has lots of attractions. These include the gorgeous Gardens By The Bay, Supertree Grove, and the ArtScience Museum. Not to mention the famous Marina Bay Sands, a hotel that overlooks the bay itself with a boat-shaped Sky Park. It’s something you should not miss when coming to SG!

3. Shop at Bugis Street Market

Nearest Station: Bugis MRT Station

Singapore is expensive, and so are the shops but if you want affordable ones, shop at Bugis Street Market! From ref magnets to clothes, to fashion goodies to street food, you can absolutely find it here but at a cheap price (but not that high quality). I actually shopped here for our souvenirs, and we got to haggle with the sellers.

4. Find the Merlions!

With superb art installations, slides, pools, entertainment spots like TVs and arcades, you don’t want to get out. It’s truly a fantastic spot to visit.

Where to Eat in Singapore

Maxwell Food Center

When going to Singapore, I highly recommend eating at a Hawker Center. One of the best ones is the Maxwell Food Center. Check out TianTianHainanese Chicken Rice, which is famed in all of the countries. Don’t worry about your expenses as it’s pretty cheap here.

The Line

If you want to eat Asian Cuisine and lots of Sea Food, you can go to the line. It’s a buffet-style restaurant with many food choices, including Vegan and Gluten-Free options. You will surely make your stomach happy with this restaurant.

Lau Pa Sat

Another Hawker Center on our travel guide to Singapore is Lau Pa Sat or Ayer Festival Market. Their specialty is the Satay, it’s like Barbecue but has a Singaporean twist with peanut butter as the sauce. It’s very delicious and affordable and one of my favorite dishes in the country.
